Safety Guidelines
Chathub App · chathubapp.com · Last updated 2026-07-21
If you feel unsafe: end the chat immediately and use Block and Report. For urgent danger, contact your local emergency services.
Strict Age Requirement
Chathub App is exclusively for adults aged 18 and older. We have a zero-tolerance policy for underage usage. If you are under 18, you are prohibited from using this application.
Protect Your Identity
- Never share your real name, address, or phone number.
- Use a username that reveals no personal info.
- Be mindful of your video background.
- Don't share social media handles prematurely.
Secure Conversations
- Trust your instincts — end chats if uncomfortable.
- No pressure to share photos or data.
- Report any suspicious behavior immediately.
- Never send money or financial details.
- Never share passwords, OTPs, banking details, or other sensitive personal data.
- Be cautious about moving conversations to other platforms.
- Do not send intimate images. If someone pressures you, block and report.
How We Protect You
AI Image Moderation
Hive AI scans every photo before delivery. Inappropriate images including explicit content, violence, weapons, and hate symbols are blocked automatically before they reach you.
Real-Time Text Moderation
Profanity, hate speech, and inappropriate language are filtered in real time. Flagged messages are hidden behind a warning label until you choose to view them.
Automatic Enforcement
Users reported by 3 or more people are automatically restricted with escalating temporary bans — from 30 minutes up to 30 days. No manual review delay needed.
App-Wide Blocking
When you block or report someone, they instantly disappear from your entire app — online users list, chat list, and every other screen. They cannot contact you again.
Screenshot Protection
The Chathub Android app protects sensitive native surfaces from screenshots and screen recording in release builds. Chathub Web does not claim screenshot-proof browser chats because browsers and Home Screen web apps cannot guarantee the same blocking.
Age Verification
Every user must provide their date of birth during account creation. Anyone under 18 is blocked from creating an account. Community Guidelines require acceptance before chatting.
How to Report Violations
- During Chat — Tap the flag/report icon on the screen.
- Select Category — Choose from 7 categories: sexual content, violence, hateful content, harmful behavior, child safety, copyright, or spam.
- Instant Action — The reported user is immediately hidden from your app. Our automated system and moderation team take action within minutes.
Child safety
Chathub is intended for adults. See Child Safety Standards for our child-safety program, reporting channels, and enforcement approach.
Disappearing messages
Where available, the disappearing messages feature lets participants in a conversation set a timer so messages are hidden and deleted from our servers after they expire. This feature follows the same safety rules as all other messages on Chathub. Reporting always works: if you report a user or a message before it disappears, the content is captured and kept for our safety team to review. If you see something that violates our guidelines, use the in-app Report button right away — don't wait for the message to disappear.
